Environment
themailinghouse takes its responsibility for the protection of the environment and the sustainability of its business very seriously. To help us in the fight against climate change we have partnered with Greenfleet, the first not-for-profit forestry organisation in Australia to become an Approved Abatement Provider under the Australian Government’s Greenhouse Friendly initiative.
We strive to find the right balance between economic, environmental and social considerations and as a proud supporter of the Greenfleet program, which has planted millions of trees in the past 10 years; we are reducing our carbon footprint. This initiative is a simple way to lessen our impact on the environment, through the establishment of new forests to absorb greenhouse gas.
Our eco-friendly policies comprise the use of recycled papers and soy based inks where possible, recycling of toner cartridges, recycling of paper waste and the well managed use of energy within our processing plant. Sophisticated data deduplication software and the design of better targeted mailing campaigns also enables us to generate less waste. We strongly support our clients’ use of sustainable design features in mail packs and wherever we can, initiate the use of recycled or sustainable forest paper stocks. We partner with envelope manufacturers who also source product only from sustainable managed forests. Our digital printing equipment uses dry toners, has limited emissions to the air, no liquid emissions and reduced wastage though print-on demand.
themailinghouse is committed to reducing our impact on the environment, we realise that we must continually improve and nurture a culture of recycling, reducing and re-using materials to ensure sustainability for future generations.
